Many of you remember that I planed a Mini Orchard earlier this year. I'm happy to report that all five fruit trees leafed-out beautifully and seem to be doing well. In particular, the peach tree has three tiny fuzzy peaches growing on it.
According to the planting instructions, I'm supposed to have pulled off all of the flowers to prevent them from fruiting this year so they can develop a strong root system and really get established. However, the flowers were so beautiful, I let them go. Once I saw the fruit, I was so excited that I just let that go too. How much damage can three tiny fruits do anyway? They're too cute... :-)
One of the cherry trees also has two small cherries on it. I think I'll leave those as well.
